Another possible film for Kate?

Here's an interesting blurb I found while doing a Google search.

Having successfully sued publishers Macmillan after TV’s Andrew Marr wrongly claimed she had once been a supporter of the Angry Brigade — his book A History Of ­Modern Britain had to be republished as a result — the redoubtable Erin Pizzey is looking forward to a more peaceful few months.

The founder of domestic violence ­refuges, Erin, 71, a great-grandmother, living in Twickenham, South-West London, is off to Los Angeles to meet actress Kate Beckinsale, who is producing a film on ­Pizzey’s remarkable life.

‘It turns out Kate once lived in Chiswick and used to walk past my ­refuge there when she was a child,’ says diplomat’s daughter Erin, who has written her autobiography, which is due to be published next year.

‘She remembers seeing women and children ­piling in and out of the house.

‘Kate has been in talks with me for about a year and wants to appear in the film herself, too, but not as me. They need to find someone fat and plain for that.’

Seems reliable as well with the person herself talking about it, assuming it's a real quote.

Actually, I think the person the actual article is about is producing the film. I originally read it as Kate was producing as well. But I don't think she is.

By the way, I see where Kate's good friend Eva Longoria filed for divorce after finding hundreds of text messages on husband Tony Parker's phone from another woman.

Kate is the only one on that circle of friends that hasn't had a huge scandal in her marriage lately. There's that thing with Gavin Rossdale and the gender bending Marilyn, from his past, David Beckham cheating rumors (there always are...) and now Eva and Tony Parker.

I know, I sure hope it doesn't happen to Kate. I really don't see Len doing it. But then again, all these guys are married to gorgeous women - Tony, Tiger Woods, David Boreanaz - and still it's not enough for them. *sigh*

The abstract you posted clearly states Kate is producing. And why else would she be so involved as early as now, even deciding that she wants a role and which.

It does, but I do believe the woman the article is about is producing. There's been no news of Kate producing a film. I doubt very seriously she is producing this one. It's just a poorly worded sentence that gives the wrong impression. But I hope I'm wrong. We'll see.

It could be, she has money and it seems her career is at a turning point. Maybe they'd both be producing. Kate strikes me as opinionated and if it's a movie about something from her childhood it seems to me she'd want to be as involved as possible.
